Street Fighter Pygame
A downloadable game for Windows
SFPygame is a remake of SFIBM made with python and pygame.
SFIBM is the first editable fighting game on PC that spawned a lot
of street fighter hacks and other crossovers in the 90's, it has also inspired the M.U.G.E.N creators and other fighting game engines like Truefenix's SFR and UFGE engines.
SFPygame load SFIBM's original resources, so SFPygame.EXE must be in in the same directory as SFIBM's .
note: you can play SFIBM with DOSbox emulator.
IMPORTANT NEWS : I have found the source code of SFIBM from 1991 in an old korean archive website, and it was published by Jang Young Dug himself (the original creator of SFIBM), you can download it here the file' s name is "sf2src" and it is within SFPygame_source. a short while after that I stumbled upon SFR' source code in an SFR game folder, SFR (Street Fighter remake) is an evolution of SFIBM engine into a more advanced engine. you can also download the source here, the file name is "SFR_scr" and it is also within SFPygame_source.

Hello sir/ma'am,
what do i need to run the .rar file?
first unzip it, then you have a python file with (.py) extension and the MS-DOS SFIBM game folder.
if you want to run the python file wich is the remake of SFIBM you need to download & install python & pygame.
or if you want to play the original SFIBM game contained in the folder, you have to use Ddosbox emulator.
finaly, if you want to play the remake contained in the python file without downloading & instaling python & pygame there is already an executable compiled version for windows that you can download here, but it only consern SFLiu .
